Designer of Record
As Designer of Record, I am responsible for establishing the overall design intent and producing the core set of drawings that define the project.
My role is to coordinate the architectural design with applicable codes, site conditions, and input from consultants such as structural engineers, energy advisors, and other specialists. Where required, I review and integrate their work so that all components form a clear and coherent set of construction documents.
The drawings I issue are part of a controlled design system, intended to guide the project from concept through permit and into construction. This includes identifying and resolving conflicts, clarifying scope between disciplines, and maintaining consistency across all drawings.
The Designer of Record is not responsible for construction means and methods, but plays a central role in ensuring the design is well-coordinated, buildable, and aligned with the project’s objectives.

Collaboration with engineers, energy advisors, surveyors, interior designers, landscape designers, general contractors, and other specialists to align all requirements.
Construction Drawings
Detailed and precise drawings that communicate intent, minimize errors, and support smooth project execution.
Permit Approval Support
Preparation of clear, complete drawing packages and coordination with municipalities to streamline approvals.
Construction Phase Support
Ongoing guidance during the build, providing clarifications, adjustments, and collaboration with contractors to ensure the design is carried through to completion.
