His curiosity spans architecture, philosophy, physics, music, information technology, and the study of complex systems. This wide-ranging perspective allows him to weave connections that enrich his design work, shaping spaces with depth, harmony, and resonance.

From Homes to Communities
Darien has contributed to projects ranging from small additions and garden homes, to luxury homes, multi-unit developments, and commercial tenant improvements. His process balances the realities of code compliance and construction with the deeper needs of people and communities—designing not just buildings, but environments that endure.
A Philosophy of Living Design
Guided by the understanding that our built environment is a fundamental part of who we are, Darien sees buildings as living companions that shape how we experience daily life. His design practice reflects a commitment to stewardship, authenticity, and creating homes that remain assets for generations.
Outside of Work
He enjoys the beauty of all that Vancouver Island has to offer and can often be found at the Comox Air Park. He is an enthusiast of both aviation and sailing, and takes part in community gatherings such as Dance Temple events, flow jams, and similar offerings.
